Kawaguchiko
Kawaguchiko is one of the Fuji Five Lakes and, thanks to its long shoreline and easy access, it’s one of the most popular day-trip destinations from the villa — roughly a 30-minute drive away. The lake is famous for its “inverted Mt. Fuji” reflection on calm mornings, and for the Kawaguchiko Ropeway, which takes you up to a panoramic observation deck for sweeping views of both the lake and the mountain.
A popular way to explore the area is by sightseeing boat, which offers a relaxed cruise across the lake with unobstructed Mt. Fuji views on clear days. Along the northern shore, Oishi Park is known for its lavender fields in early summer and is one of the most photographed Mt. Fuji viewpoints in the region. In autumn, the Momiji Corridor near the lake turns a vivid red and is a favorite spot for fall foliage viewing, while cherry blossoms bloom along the shoreline in spring.
